Textile Manufacturer Saves Time & Money (Textiles)

A medium size textile manufacturer in Burlington, North Carolina, had a problem with a small 1/2″ air operated diaphragm pump (AOD).  The air line was so dirty and wet that the AOD valving plugged every four to six weeks.  This forced it to be pulled out for service, replaced and cleaned in the maintenance shop.  All contributed to production downtime, costing the textile manufacturer money.

Pnucor Process Engineer Ron Mitchell of Raleigh, NC, suggested Beach Filters T-line (F-T20C) filter to help solve their AOD problem.  The manufacturer installed the first Polyclear filter last December and as of August this year, the AOD had not failed.  And, their servicing of the Polyclear was a lot easier than the more costly downtime they had before.  All the manufacturer had to do to keep the AOD running was clean the coalescer twice and replace it once, and replace the desiccant element once.  Not a bad service record for eight months.
